Wystawa indywidualna prof. Wiesława Zaremby
Tytuł: Warmia Metropolis
8 września 2015 roku odbyło się na Wydziale Nauk Społecznych otwarcie wystawy prof. Wiesława Zaremby. Ekspozycja ta była drugą już odsłoną rozpoczętego przez artystę w 2013 roku projektu Warmia, w którym on prezentuje fotografie architektury z terenów Warmii. Niektóre z budowli to przykłady pereł architektury z tego rejonu, pozostałe – mniej rozpoznawalne – razem stanowią dla fotografa podróż do lat dzieciństwa (lata 1954–1966), gdy spędzał w tych rejonach wakacje. Ważnym dla artysty przewodnikiem po Warmii był jego wuj – Nataliusz Jasik.
Solo exhibition by Wieslaw Zaremba
Title: Warmia Metropolis
This is the continuation of the exhibition of the large scale photographs titled previously -Journeyman 4 Warmia Region 1 from November 2013. In “Warmia 2” exhibition Zaremba has presented photographs of small village gothic churches outside views, very brick architecture and some of the Teutonic castles surrounding this all region from the beginning of XlV century. One of the photograph shows the church in parish Lubomino, established by Eberhard von Neissein in 1308 year. The ex Clergy house became authors grandmother place of life since 1945. Zaremba had been having holidays there (between 1954-1966) and has to say that those time memories and his uncle Nataliusz Jasik were the guides for this presentation.
Bio
Prof. Wiesław Zaremba jest malarzem i grafikiem. Studiował w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Sztuk Plastycznych w Gdańsku, gdzie w 1980 roku uzyskał dyplom w Pracowni Malarstwa prof. Kazimierza Ostrowskiego. Pracował jako asystent w pracowni litografii na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku. Był również asystentem profesora Kazimierza Ostrowskiego w Pracowni Malarstwa, a następnie, przez dwanaście lat kierownikiem katedry Rysunku. Na gdańskim ASP pracował do 2002 roku. Obecnie pracuje na uniwersytecie Sabanci w Stambule.
Prof. Wieslaw Zaremba is a painter and a graphic artist Graduated from the atelier of Prof. Kazimierz Ostrowski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in 1980 he was been given Master of Fine Arts degree. He worked as an assistant in Lithography studio at Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk . He was assistant to Professor Kazimierz Ostrowski MA painting studio, later he was appointed as the director of drawing studio for twelve years there. He is a member of Union of Polish Artists and Designers, currently working at Sabanci University, Istanbul.
