Dr hab. Katarzyna Skrzypińska, associate professor of University of Gdańsk, Mini CV 2026

Professor at the University of Gdańsk at the Institute of Psychology; habilitated doctor (associate professor) (2018); author of the Threefold Nature of Spirituality model (TNS, 2014, 2022) illustrating the genesis, structure and mechanisms of functioning of the human spiritual sphere, and the Meaning Creation Model: Beliefs-Spirituality-Religiousness (Meaning Making MM: B-S-R, 2016, 2017, 2022). Areas of interest: psychology of spirituality, sense of meaning and life satisfaction (sense of coherence in this) in a personal and intercultural context.

Initiator, founder and President of the Polish Society of the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality (Pol. PTPRiD, founded in 2012 at the University of Gdańsk). A long-time member of the board of the International Association for the Psychology of Religion (IAPR), the oldest scientific organization of this type in Europe (est. 1914). Since 1994, the organizer of many international and national conferences (including PTPRiD 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2026; European Conference on Religion, Spirituality and Health 2016; IAPR 2017, 2019, 2023; The First International Conference on Motivation, Self-Regulation and Gender 2010; Psychology of Developmental Psychology; Psychology in the service of the family, Polish Society for the Psychology etc.). Since 2015 tutor and supervisor of the ANIMA Student Scientific Club, including the Section of Psychology of Religion and Spirituality (now Psychology of Spirituality in Culture) at the University of Gdańsk.

Associate Editor at Brill Research Perspectives (since 2018): Religion and Psychology (as the first Polish and European woman in history), also in Religions and Book Review Editor at the International Journal for the Psychology of Religion (as the first Polish and European woman). Reviewer of leading journals in the field of psychology of religion, health, sense of life and others (Archive for Psychology of Religion; Religion; Psychology of Religion and Health, etc.).
